The Lovely AB Foundation was established in memory of Chief Alfred Bolounduro “Lovely AB” Okhidievbie, to support individuals and families affected by dementia and sickle cell disease through care, education, research, and advocacy.
At the start of 2024, Amb. Dr. Roy Oamien Okhidievbie made a heartfelt decision to honor his late father, Chief Alfred Bolounduro Unuagbie Okhidievbie, fondly known as “Lovely AB.”
Moved by his father’s kindness and lifelong commitment to others, Dr. Roy brought family members together to preserve his legacy of love, unity, and community impact.
From that vision came the Lovely AB Foundation — a living tribute dedicated to bringing hope to those battling dementia and sickle cell disease, two conditions that deeply touched Chief ABU’s life and family.
To enhance the lives of people impacted by dementia and sickle cell disease through compassionate care, education, advocacy, and research that lead to lasting solutions.
A world where dementia and sickle cell disease are effectively managed, treated, and ultimately cured—where every patient and caregiver receives the care and support they deserve.
At the Lovely AB Foundation, we focus on four core areas that directly touch lives:
Offering specialized care and support services for patients and caregivers.
Providing workshops, training, and awareness programs to empower families and health workers.
Funding medical research to discover better treatments and, ultimately, cures.
Driving conversations and campaigns that change lives and influence public policy.
Every act of love keeps Chief “Lovely AB’s” spirit alive.
You can join us in making a real difference by supporting our programs, volunteering, or partnering with us.
